These are also known as candy molds.  Some are obviously soap molds but others were designed for candy and work very well for soaps as well.  All of these molds measure 7" x 8" which will give you some idea of the size of the finished soaps.  Some of these mold cavities are so small that they are useful only as single use guest room soaps.  Others are so large that they are not practical but make fun gag gifts.  Choose carefully.  Click each of the pictures for a larger image.

When working with these molds, it is best to let the soaps cool to room temperature.  This facilitates removing the soaps from the molds.  You may be tempted to place your hot soaps in the refrigerator or freezer.  This really helps with removal but do not do so unless the ambient air is very dry.  If the room air is moist and the soaps are very cold, they will attract moisture from the air and will "sweat".  This is not desirable.

All of the 7"x8" molds sell for $2.75 per sheet.  They are not sold per cavity.

As with the above molds, these were originally designed for making candy.  They tend to be very small cavities that yield approximately 1/2 oz soaps.  We offer them here because they are ideal for single use soaps and are often used to make small colored insert soaps that are implanted in larger bars of soap.  You will find the rubber molds very easy to work with.  The small size allows them to cool very quickly and the flexible rubber makes removal from the molds very easy.  Flexibility of the mold also allows for much more fine detail than is possible with the vacuum formed molds.
